Our favorite aurora photos: 2018 - 2019

Updated: Jun 19, 2019

It’s been a wonderful winter for stargazing here at Hotel Rangá. With the help of our expert star-guides in our state of the art observatory guests have gotten to know the natural world outside of our planet better than ever before. In the past few months, guests have rushed outside countless times - often leaving their unfinished meals or warm beds behind - to witness the magic of the dancing aurora in the sky above. It’s always worth it. The ethereal beauty of the northern lights is a once in a lifetime experience for most. We love being a part of it.

Now, as we greet the season of the midnight sun, we bid farewell to the winter that was with a few of our favorite pictures of the aurora borealis at Hotel Rangá. We are sad to see it go but comforted by the fact that even if they won’t be visible to the naked eye again until August - the stars are always there.
